Electrical Lead - Data Center Program (Remote)

Level: Director | Team: Program | Type: Full-time employee | Location: Remote - North America, with significant site travel | Target start: Q4 2026 | Range: CAD $200,000 - $300,000 base

The role

Technical ownership of electrical systems across the client's portfolio - from generation interface and medium-voltage distribution through to data hall power. The client's model is built around on-site generation, which makes this a more consequential role here than the equivalent title at a grid-connected developer.

What you will own

• Technical review and assurance of electrical design across campuses, in coordination with the design team.
• The interface between on-site generation and the data center electrical distribution system.
• Electrical equipment specification and technical support to the procurement of long-lead items.
• Technical oversight of electrical installation quality and coordination with commissioning.
• Standards development and technical consistency across the portfolio.
• Resolution of technical issues arising between owner, design team, contractor and End Client.

What we require

• Senior electrical engineering leadership on data center projects. This role requires data center-specific technical depth.
• Medium and high voltage distribution experience.
• Experience with the design-to-commissioning path, including levels of commissioning and integrated systems testing.
• Ability to hold a technical position with a design firm and a contractor.

What will set you apart

• On-site generation, behind-the-meter or islanded power system experience.
• Canadian electrical code experience and familiarity with Alberta authorities having jurisdiction.
• Professional engineering registration.
